If your Squash or Zuchinni is rotting at the end before it fully grows then there is a lack of pollination. Bees least favorite flower to pollinate is Squash and Zuchinni plants
For hand pollinating you need to find the male flower (which is the one on a stem towards the base of the plant) and the female flower( at the end of the fruit). First thing in the morning you are going to take a q-tip or small paintbrush, touch the inside of the male flower and then go to the female flowers and touch the inside of them. You must do this in the morning because the flowers only open early and close around 8 -9 am. Sometime the male and female will not open at the same time so because the male flowers reproduce quickly you can pull it off the stem, peel the petals back and use the inside stem to pollinate the female flowers.
Do this every 3-4 days or when you notice new females coming in.
