My tomato plants are scrawny looking and the leaves look dry. The blossoms are drying and falling off before the fruit starts. My reservoir is full and the rock wool is wet. I am cycling the water every 15 minutes. Any thoughts on how to help my poor plants?

It sounds like your plants are suffering from blossom drop. This is caused by a few different things. But first a few questions. How often are you adding minerals? I ask as it seems that a number of people managed to skip over a real important note in the Tower Garden Manual, that you should have found inside your Tower Garden when you got it. I posted information and a link to the manual in case you have lost it here livingtowers.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=towergarden&action=display&thread=35. If you are adding too much minerals or adding too often this could be a contributing factor. 2nd contributing factor can be the heat. If night temps fall below 55 or stay above 75 or daytime temperatures are above 90 the pollen can below tacky and pollination cannot always occur. When pollination doesn't occur the blossoms will die and fall off. Some recommend attempting hand-pollination with an artist brush or a gentle shaking of the plant/cage/support prior to the hottest part of the day. Unfortunately we had had some very HOT temperatures here in Florida over the last 3 weeks or so

Maybe it is the extreme heat. Everything else seems right. What is the best time for tomatoes here in Central Florida?

The optimal time in FL is Feb till June and Mid September till the first frost or two. They do grow through the summer you just get less yield and they have a tendency to look a little rough.
